Challenge

Sentier wanted a better way to manage opportunities in their customer base and acquire new customers. The company had used off-the-shelf CRM services which did not allow easy customization for their needs or the ability to share data with the consultants in the field without significant expense.sentierquote

Solution

Sentier had deployed Microsoft Office 365 in the last few months. Services being used were email, messaging and OneDrive. After a discussion with Strategic SaaS, Sentier agreed to a proof-of-concept using SharePoint to manage their customer and prospect information. Strategic met with Sentier content experts and developed a list-based system in SharePoint. The full project took less investment to deliver than customizing CRM, plus SharePoint Online is included in Office 365 so no additional licenses were required. This means they are not paying a high monthly fee to share data with their team.

Results

Sentier now has an easy-to-use tool for managing customer and prospect information. They have a continually updated sales pipeline. One of the key benefits is the availability of the data to key stakeholders on their smartphone, laptop or tablet. Updates are simple to input and there is a record of customer contact and opportunity data. SharePoint Online provides myriads of value and functionality to our customers. A key value is that configuration can be performed by your users with some training. Sentier is already extending the capability of their system and creating new data views.
